The client – Anglian Farmers – were in the process of a barn conversion for the new addition to their expanse of premises throughout the UK. In Spring 2017, they chose Heat Different to supply the space heating and hot water for the property as well as heating a towel rail with the hot water supply.
We installed a Viessmann Vitocal 300-G 1700kw ground source heat pump. This was chosen as the barn conversion had a high loss of heat. This heating system was the best solution because our client was aware that ground source heat pumps are more suited for the efficiencies needed and the land available to install a renewable heating system.
Due to this, the expected payback period for this installation is five years.
